Race to Dubai leader Patrick Reed and defending champion Grant Forrest headline a global field for the 2026 Nexo Championship, with a host of stars set to tee it up from August 20-23 at Trump International Golf Links.
World Number 32 Reed, who has prevailed twice on the 2026 Race to Dubai, will be joined by Eugenio Chacarra, Casey Jarvis, Jordan Gumberg, Yurav Premlall, Richard Sterne and Michael Hollick in those looking to add to their success this season next week in Aberdeenshire, while crowd favourite Forrest will be one of 14 Scots representing on home soil.
Three-time DP World Tour winner Ewen Ferguson, Aberdeen local David Law and Global Amateur Pathway Ranking winner Cameron Adam are among those bolstering the home charge, alongside compatriots Connor Syme and Scott Jamieson.
American John Daly II, the son of Major champion John Daly, will make his professional debut on golf’s Global Tour at next week’s event, as will Simon Zach. Zach topped the NEXT Golf Tour, which is played exclusively on Trackman simulators, earlier this year to earn playing opportunities on both the DP World Tour and HotelPlanner Tour.
Adrian Otageui will be looking to create more magic on Scottish fairways, having claimed the 2020 edition of the event. The 33-year-old won his third DP World Tour title at the Scottish Championship, as it was formerly known, six years ago, and will tee it up for his 19th event of the season.
The HotelPlanner Tour’s Road to Mallorca leader MJ Daffue, China’s Haotong Li and Englishman Andy Sullivan, who sits eighth on the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World, add to an impressive field for the concluding event of the DP World Tour’s Closing Swing.
An array of sporting stars across football, rugby, tennis and curling will also take to the links next week when the inaugural Nexo Championship Celebrity Pro-Am is staged on Wednesday 19 August. The event, preceding four days of world-class golf, is set to add to the exciting atmosphere.
