ING Private Banking has signed a three-year deal to become an Official Partner of the KLM Open, which next year will take place at The Dutch in Spijk from September 8-11.
The KLM Open has been played every year since the European Tour’s inception in 1972, and dates back to 1912, boasting some of the best players in history among its list of former champions, including Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie.
Tournament Director Daan Slooter said: “We are extremely proud the tournament will be associated with ING Private Banking for the next three years (2016-2018). The bank and financial services corporation is ready to embrace the tournament with much enthusiasm and has a clear intention to be involved in golf in a wider sense.”
ING Private Banking and Investment ING Netherlands Brand Experience Director Arnout Bloys van Treslong added: “We aim to increase the overall fan experience by bringing the playing professionals and the fans closer together and we have several exciting ideas on how we will do this.”
In addition to the KLM Open, ING Private Banking will support additional activities in golf, spearheaded by becoming the main partner of the Royal Dutch Golf Federation.
