Jesper Svensson produced his best performance so far this year at the PGA TOUR’s RBC Canadian Open to seal his spot at The Open this summer.
The Swede is combining playing opportunities on the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR this season, with conditional status stateside.
The event, which was staged at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, formed part of The Open Qualifying Series and three places into the field for the final men’s Major Championship of the season were available.
Tournament winner Bud Cauley and Jackson Suber, who finished tied fourth alongside DP World Tour winner Svensson, will also be heading to Royal Birkdale.
Svensson will appear in his third consecutive Open, having finished T16 at Royal Portrush in 2025.
The Open Qualifying Series will provide further opportunities for players to secure their spots on the DP World Tour at the DS Automobiles 83° Open d'Italia and Genesis Scottish Open.
