Levy looking to make more history for France

Alexander Levy knows a thing or two about playing golf quickly for his country - he's even got a world record for it.

It was just over 12 months ago that Levy teamed up with countrymen Romain Wattel, Grégory Havret and Raphaël Jacquelin to play the fastest hole of golf ever as a team of four and this week he and Grégory Bourdy will once again be representing the Tricolore.

The GolfSixes makes its European Tour debut at the Centurion Club and Levy and Bourdy will play greensomes over six holes in a group stage and potentially a knockout on Sunday in an attempt to take home the trophy.

Levy arrives fresh off a win at the Volvo China Open while Bourdy finished in a tie for third in Shenzhen, and the former is hopeful that the swashbuckling duo can do their country proud again.

"I'm really excited to play this tournament, we've had a few meetings about how the tournament will be and I feel fantastic," he said.

"I think it will be a really nice set up. If it's good weather and a good crowd I think it will be a really good weekend.

"We are in good form and it's always nice representing France. Greg loves to play for France, I love it too and it will be nice to do good things this weekend for the French flag.

"I'm so excited to play this. I'll still be aggressive. I said to Greg, 'hit the fairway with the first drive and I will try to smash one'.

"It's funny to do different to what we do normally. It's a a great idea by Kieth Pelley to do that."
