Matthieu Pavon and Adrien Saddier will further strengthen the French line-up at this year’s FedEx Open de France, with the pair confirmed to feature in the 108th edition of the event.
The home heroes will join a stellar field at Le Golf National from September 24-27, teeing it up alongside Ryder Cup trio Tommy Fleetwood, Ludvig Åberg and Viktor Hovland, and PGA TOUR winners Kristoffer Reitan and Bud Cauley.
The duo will also join compatriots Julien Guerrier, Antoine Rozner, Romain Langasque, Frédéric Lacroix, Victor Perez, Jeong weon Ko and Ugo Coussaud, as well as young stars Martin Couvra, Oihan Guillamoundeguy and Tom Vaillant.
Pavon will return for his ninth national open, following his debut appearance at the 100th anniversary in 2016.
The 33-year-old has since earned a maiden title on golf’s global Tour, triumphant at the 2023 acciona Open de España presented by Madrid, and secured victory on the PGA TOUR, coming at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open in just his third start.
He will hope to build on a consistent season to date, where he has registered four finishes inside the top 20 across the pond.
“There’s nothing quite like playing at home, in your national open,” said Pavon. “This is a tournament I look forward to every year. I’m excited for the challenge against a really strong field, and to once again experience the incredible atmosphere at Le Golf National.”
Saddier will make his 11th appearance at the FedEx Open de France, having first featured in the 2014 edition at the same venue.
The 34-year-old’s maiden DP World Tour title at the 2025 Italian Open and runner-up finish at the BMW PGA Championship saw him place ninth on the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World last year, earning him dual membership with the PGA TOUR.
He will look to make the most of a special week back on home soil at Continental Europe’s oldest national open.
“I’m excited to be coming home and playing in an event that I always look forward to,” said Saddier. “I have a lot of fond memories from over the years, largely thanks to playing in front of family, friends and the French fans, and can’t wait to experience it all again later this month.”
The FedEx Open de France, which was first staged in 1906 and became part of golf’s Global Tour in 1972, will this year return to Le Golf National, which was officially reopened on Monday following course renovation.
