The Swiss watchmaker has been title sponsor of the tournament since 2001, with the new agreement set to surpass more than 25 years of support for the event held in the stunning surrounds of Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club.

This year’s edition will take place from August 26-29, marking its return to the Race to Dubai after being cancelled in 2020 due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

The Swiss Federal Council has also confirmed that large-scale events, with up to 10,000 spectators per day will be permitted from August 20. Spectator information will be made available in the build up to the event accordance with guidelines established by the Federal Council.

Tournament Director Yves Mittaz said: “This is extraordinary news, a mark of confidence in a collaboration that has lasted for more than 20 years. I am very proud to be able to extend this partnership with a brand as prestigious as Omega.”

Raynald Aeschlimann, President of Omega, said: “It’s great to be the title sponsors of this major event which takes place on our home turf and we are proud to be so closely linked to this important event in the golfing calendar. At Omega, we love the game of golf and it is a real honour to continue the tradition of the game by contributing to its growth worldwide through a passionate and lasting commitment.”
