Aleksandar Radoicic will become the first golfer from Montenegro to play on the DP World Tour at the 2022 Omega European Masters.
Professional golfers from around the world were given the opportunity by event organisers to secure a wild card spot through an eSport tournament on Foresight Golf simulators, where they would play four rounds on a replica of the Severiano Ballesteros course at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club.
Radoicic was one of three players with the best scores from the previous rounds invited to play the course in a final qualifying round, and he secured his spot in the field by shooting a one-over-par 71 on Tuesday.
He will play alongside Spain’s Eduardo De La Riva and Swiss amateur Maximilien Sturdza in the opening two rounds.
Amateurs were also invited to take part, with the chance to win a spot in the Credit Suisse Gold Pro-Am 2022, held on the Wednesday of tournament week.
More than 500 players from 17 different countries across four continents participated in the unique competition.
