Sungjae Im will tee it up on home soil later this year at the Genesis Championship, joining defending champion Junghwan Lee in the field at Woo Jeong Hills from October 22-25.
The two-time PGA TOUR winner joins an exciting field of global talent, with further names to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Im is a former winner of the Genesis Championship, triumphing in 2019, and he is looking forward to teeing it up in front of his home fans again in October.

First played in 2017, the Genesis Championship has grown into a truly global golf tournament since becoming a co-sanctioned KPGA TOUR and DP World Tour event in 2024. As the final tournament of the Back 9 on the DP World Tour’s global schedule, and the last event of the regular season before the Play-Offs, it delivers a fiercely contested title race each year.
Held as an extension of the strategic partnership between the KPGA TOUR and the DP World Tour, the tournament is also attracting attention as a crucial gateway for Korean players to step onto the global stage. This year, a field of 126 players — 36 from the KPGA TOUR and 90 from the DP World Tour — will compete for the trophy.
The tournament also marks the final opportunity for DP World Tour players to secure their status for the following season, with those finishing inside the top 100 of the Race to Dubai standings earning playing rights on the DP World Tour.
