Team GB curlers to hit the links in Nexo Championship Celebrity Pro-Am

Olympic curling medal winners Bruce Mouat, Grant Hardie, Hammy McMillian Jnr and Bobby Lammie will switch ice for grass when they tee it up at next week’s Nexo Championship Celebrity Pro-Am.

The stellar group will join a host of sporting stars for the inaugural Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday 19 August, ahead of the Nexo Championship at Trump International Golf Links.

Mouat is one of Great Britian’s most successful and respected winter athletes. The modern-day great made his debut at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, becoming the first person to represent Team GB in both the men’s and mixed doubles curling, before he skipped his rink of Hardie, Lammie and McMillian Jnr to Olympic silver.

He backed it up at Milano Cortina earlier this year, adding a consecutive silver to a list of achievements that also includes two world championships, four European championships, and 12 Grand Slam titles.

Mouat will be joined by his vice-skip of nine years in Hardie on the fairways. The 34-year-old, who recently moved away from Team Mouat to skip his own lineup, will reunite with his cousin McMillian Jnr, the son of three-time Olympian McMillian Snr, and the youngest member of Team Mouat in Lammie for the not-to-be-missed event on the links.

The newly introduced Celebrity Pro-Am is set to add to the atmosphere in Aberdeenshire, with an array of sporting stars across rugby, football and tennis also confirmed to feature.

Tickets are now on sale, with fans encouraged to book their spot early.
