To all of the players, European Tour staff, caddies, media and volunteers, we extend our warmest welcome to Hero Open 2021, held at Fairmont St Andrews in the Home of Golf. To our new Title Sponsor, Hero MotoCorp, our sincere welcome. We are excited to have you join us this year.
Following last year’s success of the Scottish Championships played at Fairmont St Andrews, our team has been working hard to prepare the golf course and the resort for this year’s season, to ensure the players can once again take on the Torrance Course overlooking the breath-taking surroundings and cliff top views of St Andrews for a challenging but exciting week.
This year, as we embark on the 20th Anniversary of the resort having first opened its doors, we cannot think of a better way to celebrate than to host such a prestigious event and welcoming back spectators that help elevate the atmosphere. We applaud the hard work of the European Tour to allow the continuation of the sport even during such challenging times.
As we look to further enhance Fairmont St Andrews, our aim is to take the resort into new heights as a world-class golf resort that will host future championship tournaments, bringing the community together to create an inclusive resort. As such, we look forward to further developing Championship Golf with the European Tour.
