What's in the bag: Bernd Wiesberger wins with seven-year old irons and top end changes

Bernd Wiesberger put a new driver and three wood in his bag at the start of the week before he went on capture his ninth DP World Tour title in his first return to the winner's circle since 2021.

Sporting a full Titleist set‑up, the win marks the second significant equipment change he has made in recent months. He also switched to his current putter, the Odyssey S2S Tri‑Hot Jailbird ZT, at the Magical Kenya Open.

Yet while the top end of the bag has evolved, it was the same seven‑year‑old irons that have been with him since the 2019 Omega European Masters that proved decisive.

Wiesberger continues to rely on a blended set of Titleist T100 (3 iron), 620 CB (4–6), and 620 MB (7–9), and they delivered an impressive week of ball‑striking.

He ranked inside the top three all week for Strokes Gained approach, Strokes Gained tee to green and Greens in Regulation percentage (81.94), where he gained over ten shots over the field average.

He also ranked first for strokes gained around the green. One one of only 10% of players who use three wedges in their bag, Wiesberger relies of a set-up of three Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges (P, Gap, and a Proto Lob).

Wiesberger plays with a Titleist Pro V1 (23) ball.
