What's in the bag: Thriston Lawrence's winning set-up at the Omega European Masters

Thriston Lawrence enjoyed particular success on the greens with his PING PLD Oslo 4 as he made a successful title defence at the Omega European Masters.

The South African ranked second in the field for Strokes Gained: Putting at 1.90, while he also didn't make a single three-putt across the four rounds at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland.

Lawrence has used the mallet-design putter since the Austrian Alpine Open presented by Kitzbühel Tirol in May, prior to which he used a PING PLD Anser and a PING Scottsdale Tec Hayden

He was also indebted to his Ping Blueprint Forged S irons and Ping S259 wedges as he ranked tied fifth for Greens in Regulation, finding the putting surface 80% of the time across the par-70 layout in Crans-Montana.

A PING staffer, he has played with equipment from the manufacturer for several years, but has made few changes for the 2026 season.

He switched from using a PING G440 Max three wood to a protype mini driver at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic but his bag otherwise remains similar to when he won the Omega European Masters title last year.
