Yurav Premlall made changes at both the top and bottom end of his bag in the lead up to claiming his first DP World Tour title with a remarkable 14-shot victory at the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship.
After a missed cut at the Turkish Airlines Open, the South African - who uses a full TaylorMade set-up for his clubs - replaced his Qi35 three wood to the Qi4D ahead of the opening event of the European Swing in Spain.
That change followed on from Premlall, who turns 23 next month, switching to a new TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter in Türkiye.
He has used the Qi4D driver since the Joburg Open, having also used the Qi10, Qi35 and Qi4D LS since making his DP World Tour season debut at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player in December.
While it would show that he has struggled to find trust in his club selections at the top end, he has had the P-7TW irons in use since the end of 2024 by comparison.
Out of those in action at Real Club de Golf El Prat, he was in the minority - one of the 10% of players - to opt for carrying three wedges in Barcelona.
Premlall, who was without a top 20 in his opening seven starts of the 2026 Race to Dubai campaign since earning promotion from the Sunshine Tour last year, topped the Approach: Strokes Gained category, picking up three and a half shots on the field across the week.
