Rory McIlroy and Robert MacIntyre will join defending champion Chris Gotterup in a headline three-ball when the Genesis Scottish Open gets under way on Thursday.
The last three winners of the co-sanctioned DP World Tour and PGA TOUR event will begin their challenge at 08:28 local time off the tenth tee at The Renaissance Club.
Gotterup held off the challenge of 2023 champion McIlroy to become a Rolex Series winner last year, with home hero MacIntyre having memorably claimed victory at his national open in 2024.
Off the same hole, 11 minutes later, Viktor Hovland begins his fifth Genesis Scottish Open start in as many years alongside two-time U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark and this season’s two-time DP World Tour winner Eugenio Chacarra.
With a field full of international talent assembled at the $9 million event, there are a host of eye-catching groupings.
Among those include World Number One Scottie Scheffler playing alongside English duo Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Fitzpatrick, with that trio part of the afternoon wave on Thursday at 13:43 off the first.
Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World leader Patrick Reed, who won the first Rolex Series event of the season at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, is joined by fellow American Justin Thomas and Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg off the same tee at 13:54.
In the immediate group after, at 14:05, Jon Rahm will go in search of a record sixth Rolex Series victory alongside Rasmus Højgaard and Alex Fitzpatrick.
Among the morning wave, US PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai will play with Shane Lowry and JJ Spaun in a group that begins at 08:17 off the tenth.
