Louis Oosthuizen moved back into a share of top spot at the Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player as the leaderboard tightened up in round three in Sun City.
Overnight leader Zander Lombard turned in 38 to slip to nine under, allowing fellow home favourite Oosthuizen to join him at the summit as he played his first nine holes in level par at Gary Player Country Club.
Finn Mikko Korhonen was making the big move on day three of the seventh Rolex Series event of the season, picking up four shots in his first ten holes to join Belgian Thomas Detry at eight under.
Spaniard Nacho Elvira and Australian Jason Scrivener were then two shots off the lead, one clear of Dutchman Joost Luiten and English duo Aaron Rai and Oliver Wilson.
The front pin at the first was proving gettable but none of the final group could make the most of that or the par five next, with Oosthuizen dropping a shot on the third to extend the lead to three.
Scrivener did birdie the first and second and was soon joined four off the lead by Korhonen, who chipped in at the fifth to add to gains on the first and third.
Oosthuizen trimmed the lead back to two as he holed from the fringe on the fourth, with Detry making a first birdie of the day after putting his tee shot to eight feet.
Scrivener dropped a shot on the fifth after leaving his third in the greenside bunker but picked it straight back up on the next with an approach to seven feet.
Lombard holed a clutch putt for par on the fifth after a badly misjudged first effort but he could not do the same on the next and the lead was down to one.
He went right off the tee at the eighth and was forced to lay up, taking three putts from 67 feet for a double bogey to leave Oosthuizen in the solo lead.
Korhonen then made a two putt birdie on the tenth to join Detry and Lombard just one off top spot.
Elvira had been quietly going about his business and he picked up shots on the par five second, ninth and tenth to move to seven under.
Lombard then played an exquisite chip to set up a birdie on the ninth and he was back in a share at the turn.
