Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler, alongside former Chelsea stars Eden Hazard and John Terry, will tee it up at Wentworth Club for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am in September.
The trio will be part of a star-studded field of sporting, music and entertainment names at the Festival of Golf on Wednesday 16 September 2026, with the Celebrity Pro-Am once again set to open the BMW PGA Championship week in style. Tickets are on sale now at etg.golf/BMW2026Tickets.
Former Chelsea and Belgium national team star Hazard, who announced his retirement from professional football in October 2023 after departing La Liga side Real Madrid in June of that year, will tee it up for the first time in the Celebrity Pro-Am. The Belgian has become a keen golfer since retiring three years ago.
He will be joined by former team-mate Terry, Chelsea’s most-decorated outfield player of all time, who won five Premier League titles with the Blues. The former England captain will be making his fifth appearance in the Celebrity Pro-Am.
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler, who scored 163 Premier League goals in 379 appearances, will be making his third consecutive appearance in the Celebrity Pro-Am at Wentworth Club after teeing it up alongside Terry in last year’s edition.
“We’re thrilled to welcome John and Robbie back to the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am, alongside a new face in Eden Hazard,” said Darrell O’Hora, Championship Director of the BMW PGA Championship.
“Those three are among the biggest names in football, and with over 1,100 Premier League appearances between them, they bring real firepower to Wentworth Club.
“We will have even more exciting names to be announced soon for this year’s Celebrity Pro-Am, which is shaping up to be a day to remember, and we hope to see fans of all ages joining us as part of the Festival of Golf this September.”
Taking place just outside Central London, the BMW PGA Championship offers a thrilling week of world-class golf, an atmospheric Spectator Village and live entertainment on the Amazon Leo Live Stage - with British festival favourites The Kooks already confirmed as the Saturday headline act.
