British band The Kooks will bring their unmistakable Britpop-tinged indie to the Festival of Golf when they headline the BMW PGA Championship Showstage on Saturday September 19, 2026.
Some of the biggest stars in world golf, including back-to-back Masters champion Rory McIlroy and the past three winners - Alex Noren, Billy Horschel and Ryan Fox - are set to tee it up at Wentworth Club from September 17-20, and The Kooks will keep the entertainment going when they take to the Showstage after the third round. Tickets are on sale now at etg.golf/BMW2026Tickets.
The Kooks’ seventh studio album Never/Know reached the UK Top 5 last year as they embarked on their biggest ever headline tour and made a euphoric return to major festival main stages, nearly two decades on from their multi-platinum break-out Inside In/Inside Out.
After helping to define the mid-2000s indie scene, and with timeless hits like Naïve and She Moves in Her Own Way still racking up hundreds of millions of streams, their feel-good sound continues to draw huge crowds and deliver unforgettable live shows.
Live music has been a feature at the BMW PGA Championship since 2016, with Razorlight and Ella Henderson starring last year, joining a wide range of past headliners including Groove Armada, Sigala, Kaiser Chiefs, Feeder, Mike + The Mechanics, Simple Minds, and Rudimental.
The Kooks are the first headline act to be announced for the third Rolex Series event on the 2026 Race to Dubai, with more Showstage news to follow soon, and fans are encouraged to snap up tickets soon after sell-outs across the week at last year’s BMW PGA Championship.
“The Showstage is always a huge draw for fans at the BMW PGA Championship, and we’re excited to welcome an incredible live act like The Kooks as our latest headliners as we continue to grow the Festival of Golf following record crowds last year. With world-class golf, music and entertainment, there’s something for everyone across the week,” said Darrell O’Hora, Championship Director of the BMW PGA Championship.
With over 100,000 spectators set to gather for a true Festival of Golf, there are a range of experiences for everyone at the BMW PGA Championship, with ticketing options to match – including General Admission tickets for the Tuesday practice day, Wednesday Celebrity Pro-Am and four days of tournament golf, plus the chance to elevate the experience with Treetops presented by Buffalo Trace and Premium Experience options.
BMW Group owners will once again receive preferred parking benefits and there will be a free shuttle service from Virginia Water railway station available to all spectators.
Fans are urged to secure their tickets early to avoid disappointment after a record attendance at last year’s BMW PGA Championship. General admission was completely sold out across Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, whilst Treetops presented by Buffalo Trace (formerly Ticket+) packages sold out on all tournament days.
