Stars from around the world and local heroes have assembled at Delhi Golf Club this week at the new tournament, which features a $4million prize fund.
The headline act is Rory McIlroy, who is teeing it up in the country for the first time, with fellow Ryder Cup winners Tommy Fleetewood, Viktor Hovland and Shane Lowry joining him.
Former World Number One Luke Donald, Team Europe Captain at Bethpage and in Rome two years ago, will make his professional debut in India too when he takes to the Lodhi Course.
The global nature of the field is bolstered by American Major winner Brian Harman, and his compatriot and two-time PGA TOUR winner Ben Griffin, who made his Ryder Cup debut in New York this year.
More than 20 Indian players will be aiming to impress on home soil, including two-time DP World Tour winner, Shubhankar Sharma, 18-time global winner Anirban Lahiri, seven-time global winner Shiv Kapur and Veer Ahlawat, who secured his 2025 DP World Tour card by topping the previous season’s PGTI Rankings.
From insight into the week’s most-picked players among Fantasy managers, to our ones to watch, we run the rule ahead of Thursday’s deadline to pick your team.
Who are the most picked players?
Making his return to action after helping Team Europe win the Ryder Cup last month, Viktor Hovland is the player selected in the most teams, having been picked by 72% of players.
There is then little to seperate PGA TOUR regulars Ben Griffin, who made his Ryder Cup debut at Bethpage, and Major champion Brian Harman, who sit second and third at 58%.
Michael Kim - a recent first-time winner on the DP World Tour - and Tommy Fleetwood round out the top five at 46% and 44%.
Who are our ones to watch?
Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.
Favourite – Rory McIlroy
Who else could it be, really? In a year which has seen the Northern Irishman became a career Grand Slam winner and win an away Ryder Cup again, a victory in India – where he has never played before – would be another great accomplishment. His triumph at the Amgen Irish Open last month strengthened his lead at the summit of the Race to Dubai Rankings, with a seventh Harry Vardon Trophy in his sights. Across his eight DP World Tour starts this season, the five-time Major winner has won twice, registered three further top tens and has not missed a cut.
Form Horse - Angel Ayora
Not a hard decision to make here and it is easy to see why the young Spaniard is the sixth most picked player after a run of four top tens in his last six starts. Such form has seen the HotelPlanner Tour graduate rise to 23rd in the Race to Dubai Rankings, and he will be eager to maintain his momentum over the next two events in the lead up to the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs in the United Arab Emirates. This marks the 21-year-old's second start in India, having finished in a tie for 52nd earlier this season at the Hero Indian Open where he started out well over the first two days before struggling over the weekend.
Wild Card - Andreas Halvorsen
As one of the last players in the field, the Norwegian is likely feeling a great sense of opportunity. Sitting 132nd on the Race to Dubai Rankings, Halvorsen is in need of a good result to retain his playing privileges for next season but the DP World Tour's return to India might just be perfect timing for him. He finished in a tie for second at the Kolkata Challenge on the HotelPlanner Tour while playing on a medical exemption - a result that secured him promotion to the DP World Tour - before he ended in a tie for sixth at the Hero Indian Open. A similar result this week would likely secure his status for another year.

Marco Penge claimed his third victory of the season so it was perhaps surprising that the Englishman earned 210 points for just 10% of players, with only 87 having him as their captain.
Our Favourite Jon Rahm closed out his week with a 65 to finish in a tie for ninth on home soil, Form Horse Kristoffer Reitan ended up tied 30th while Wild Card Joe Dean faded away over the weekend to finish 71st.
