Secured a swift return to The 2012 European Tour with a tremendous 2011 season on the Challenge Tour, in which he won three times, at the M2M Russian Challenge Cup, the Allianz Golf Open Grand Toulouse a week later and the Roma Golf Open. Finished third in the Rankings to bounce back to The European Tour, having lost his card in 2010, when he finished 182nd in The Race to Dubai following six straight seasons at the highest level. Was back at the Qualifying School in 2012, however, but took the 21st card in the Final Stage. In 2007 he finished second in the Mallorca Classic not only to secure his card, but also to finish 76th on the money list, which remains a career high. Also retained his playing privileges in dramatic fashion at the end of 2005, when he took the 116th and last place on the money list, beating David Drysdale in 117th place by a mere €586. Lost his card in finishing in 122nd place on the 2006 Order of Merit, but made amends at the Qualifying School Final Stage, where he finished 12th. Started playing aged nine with his father and brother Jamie, a professional on the Challenge Tour, at their local course in Hertfordshire. Represented England in 1996 and 1997 prior to turning professional. A self-confessed West Ham fanatic, he is coached by Peter Mitchell, the European Senior Tour player and resident professional at Great Chart Golf Centre.
