    Enjoyed an impressive amateur career, representing the University of Central Florida and playing in the the victorious European side in the 2014 Palmer Cup.

    Won twice and earned a record €251,592 en route to being crowned Challenge Tour Number One in 2015.

    A family man, Gouveia’s father Tómas was his caddie for his 2015 NBO Golf Classic Grand Final victory on the Challenge Tour and at various times during that season.

    Had a memorable rookie season on the European Tour in 2016, becoming the highest ranked Portuguese player of all time and finishing in a creditable 54th place on the Race to Dubai, with the highlight being a third place finish at the Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player.

    Represented Portugal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

    Won twice on the Challenge Tour in 2021 at the Italian Challenge and Made in Esbjerg Challenge, finishing second on the season-long Road to Mallorca Rankings to earn a return to the DP World Tour for 2022.
