    A two-time winner on the Senior Tour, the Italian finished outside the top 40 on the Order of Merit for the first time in 2010, ending the season in 53rd position. His best performance was a share of ninth place in the Berenberg Bank Masters. Started 2009 well with joint third place at the the Aberdeen Brunei Senior Masters presented by The Stapleford Forum. Had four more top 20 finishes to come 32nd in the Order of Merit. Finished sixth in the Order of Merit in 2005 and ninth in 2006, when he produced the best come-from-behind victory of the year, making up a seven stroke deficit in the final round of the Bendinat London Seniors Masters at The London Golf Club. Carded a five under par 67 to tie Delroy Cambridge on six under par 210, before defeating the Jamaican at the fifth play-off hole. Celebrated his maiden victory in 2005 in the Mobile Cup at Collingtree Park Golf Club. One of Italy’s most accomplished golfers, he won 12 titles in his homeland and represented his country in four World Cups and four Alfred Dunhill Cups. Was a regular on The European Tour during the late 1980s and early 1990s, and twice tasted success on the 1990 Challenge Tour, winning the Cerutti Open and the Memorial Olivier Barras.
