Played his way to the 25th card at the Qualifying School Final Stage to earn a return to The European Tour in 2015, at the end of a consistent campaign on the Challenge Tour in which five top ten results earned him 23rd place in the Rankings.

Had previously graduated four times from the second tier, and has won four titles. Started playing golf as a six year old under the supervision of his father, Carlo, who was an Italian international for seven years.

A passionate AC Milan fan. He won the Italian Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 1994.
