Will play only his second full season on the European Tour in 2016, despite making more than 50 appearances on the top tier over a period spanning 12 years. Took 12th place in the 2015 Road to Oman Rankings to secure graduation, notching three top three finishes along the way. Also came through the Challenge Tour in 2009, finally banishing his tag as an unlucky loser, having finished 22nd in the Challenge Tour Rankings in his previous two campaigns. Had looked on course to end the hoodoo in 2008, but after entering the final round of the season-ending Challenge Tour Grand Final in a tie for third place and with his destiny firmly in his own hands, shot a 73 to drop down to 22nd in the Rankings, two places away from graduating. Won the Scottish Amateur Championship in 2002, and is coached by Ian Rae of the Scottish Golf Union.
