Became the first man in 29 years to successfully defend the U.S. Open title when he triumphed at Shinnecock Hills in 2018, following his maiden Major victory at Erin Hills in 2017. He then won his third Major Championship in just 15 months when he triumphed at the 2018 US PGA Championship at Bellerive, before successfully defending that title a year later at Bethpage Black Course. Two months later, he added to his incredible trophy haul with a first World Golf Championships victory at the WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational.

Made his Ryder Cup debut at Hazeltine in 2016, winning three points from four matches as USA triumphed, before making a second appearance at Le Golf National in 2018.

Turned pro in 2012 and was touted as one of the most talented young players in the world after he swept through the Challenge Tour in 2013, winning four times before graduating to the European Tour.

Continued his meteoric rise by capturing his first European Tour title at the Turkish Airlines Open in 2014.

Says his decision to play in Europe was fuelled by a desire to be a more rounded player, and has described his time on the Challenge Tour as some of the best days of his life.

Born in West Palm Beach, he played college golf at Florida State University, where he was a three-time All-American.
