Started playing at the age of seven in Turin where his father is the head teaching professional at La Mandria. Emmanuele's brother, Massimo, is 35-years-old, and a teaching professional in Verona. Emmanuele has played golf on a regular basis since finishing his studies at the age of 14 - "because I love the game, and with my father's guidance I decided it was what I wanted to do." The winner of four tournaments in his native Italy in the 1980s, he has been a regular at the Tour School but owes his return to the PGA European Tour to a superb year on the Challenge Tour.
