Graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2008 before turning professional a year later.

Earned a return to the Challenge Tour after topping the 2013 EPD Tour in his native Germany, having previously played a rookie season on the European Tour in 2011.

Completed a remarkable return to the 2015 Race to Dubai after an excellent season on the Challenge Tour in 2014 when he finished 12th in the Rankings from just 15 starts. An achievement all the more significant by the fact he could not play in the season-ending Final Swing in China, Oman and Dubai due to his fear of flying. The phobia forced him to give up the game for a spell in 2010, during which he worked as a player manager and coach, but returned shortly after.
