Rejoins The European Tour for the 2008 season after concentrating on the US PGA Tour for the past three years where last year he achieved a personal best of tied second at the Ginn sur Mer Classic.

Began the 2003 season looking for his maiden European Tour victory but ended the year with three. Started that year with victory in the Omega Hong Kong Open, followed that with success in the Algarve Open de Portugal after a ten week lay-off as a result of a wrist injury, and ended the season in spectacular style when he laid claim to the Volvo Masters, a victory which secured his five year exemption.

Finished that season in fourth place in the Order of Merit, equalling the highest placing by a Swede.

A promising ice hockey player at the age of ten.

One of the players at his club, Per Nellbeck, was also the local golf professional and taught the entire Jacobson family to play.

Missed first three months of 2000 after breaking left thumb playing hockey for golf professionals vs. tennis players in 1999.

Was ranked top 30 in Swedish table tennis at age 14-15.

His sister, Theresa, is long-term partner to fellow European Tour professional David Carter.
