The Irishman turned professional after his heroics as an amateur steered Great Britain and Ireland to victory at the 2015 Walker Cup at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club.

Finished runner-up in the 2015 Spanish Amateur Championship and 2015 European Championship. Studied business and management at Maynooth University after gaining the Padraig Harrington golf scholarship.

Is a close friend and housemate of fellow countryman Paul Dunne who led the 2015 Open Championship after 54 holes.
