Runner-up to Carl Mason in the OKI Spanish Senior Open by Cleveland Golf/Srixon in 2011 - the latest fine performance by the former PGA professional who has flourished since joining the Senior Tour.

Became the first non-exempt player since 2007 to win on the Senior Tour when he captured the inaugural Van Lanschot Senior Open in The Netherlands in 2010.

Had only sealed his place in the field by finishing in the top ten in the previous week’s Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open but held off former PGA Champion Andrew Oldcorn by one stroke at Royal Haagsche. That victory helped him finish in 27th position on the Order of Merit, and represented a remarkable turnaround in fortune having missed out of a card at Qualifying School.

At 6ft and with flowing long hair, the Englishman is one of the more recognisable players on the Senior Tour.

The Somerset player was the most successful member of the Great Britain and Ireland team that went close to winning the PGA Cup in America in 2007, winning all four of his matches.

Also coaches with one of his successes being fellow West Country professional John E Morgan.
