In recent years has established himself as one of the most promising golfers to emerge from Kenya, having first taken up the game aged six. Is affiliated to Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi, the venue for the Barclays Kenya Open on the Challenge Tour. Used his local knowledge to good effect in March 2011 when winning the Jamii Telecom Limited Masters on Kenya’s national Tour, courtesy of a four under par aggregate total. Since turning professional in July 2010, he has now won twice – his first victory came on the KCB East Africa Golf Tour – and also finished runner-up behind European Tour Member James Kamte of South Africa at the 2010 KCB Grand Finale, held in Nyali, Mombasa. Hopes the experience he gained from playing as an amateur on a mini-tour organised by the Kent County Golf Union in England and on the collegiate circuit at the University of Texas in the States, where he studied International Business on a scholarship, will help him realise his ambition of playing a full season on the Challenge Tour and graduating to The European Tour. The highlight of an impressive amateur career came in 2006 when, as a 16 year old, he became the youngest player in history to represent Kenya’s National Men’s Team. He also represented Kenya at the 2008 Ernie Els World Invitational, held at Fancourt, in South Africa.
