Rejoined The European Tour after an excellent 2006 season on the Challenge Tour, where he won twice, at the Kai Fieberg Costa Rica Open and the Tusker Kenya Open, to finish the year in second place on the Rankings. Took a three year break from tournament play in 2001 and returned to finish sixth on the 2004 Challenge Tour Rankings, taking the Open des Volcans Challenge de France title seven days after losing out in a sudden-death play-off to Finland’s Roope Kakko at the Volvo Finnish Open. Could not hold onto his 2005 European Tour card, and changed almost every aspect of his game to make a hugely successful return to the 2006 Challenge Tour.
