Crowned his rise to the summit of the world game with a two-shot victory at the 2017 US PGA Championship. Would ultimately end 2017 as the leading player on the PGA TOUR, winning a further four times on his way to claiming the FedEx Cup and deservedly being voted the Player of the Year.

Carried his impressive form into 2018, securing his seventh PGA TOUR title in February before recording his first World Golf Championships win at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

Rose to the rank of World Number One in May 2018 and made his debut appearance in The Ryder Cup at Le Golf National in September later that year. He represented the United States for a second time at Whistling Straits in 2021, earning 2.5 points from four matches.

Won his second World Golf Championships title at 2020 WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational, returning to World Number One for one week. Won a title for the seventh consecutive year at the 2021 Players Championship, his 14th victory on the PGA TOUR.

His second Major Championship success came at the 2022 US PGA Championship as he came from seven strokes back on the final day and defeated Will Zalatoris in a three-hole aggregate play-off at Southern Hills.

Won his first event as a professional on the Tour in 2014 and graduated onto the PGA TOUR by finishing fifth in that season's rankings.

A stellar amateur career included victorious appearances in the 2010 Junior Ryder Cup and the 2013 Walker Cup.
