Won on his Major Championship debut in the 2011 US PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club. Shot a second round 64, and in the final round he triple-bogeyed the 15th hole to fall five shots behind compatriot Jason Dufner. Recovered with back-to-back birdies at the 16th and 17th, and a poor finish from Dufner left the pair tied for the lead after 72 holes. Bradley then won the three-hole play-off with a birdie and two pars. Also won another title on the US PGA Tour that season and was named the 2011 US PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. Won his third title at the 2012 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

Is mentored by and plays practice rounds with Phil Mickelson, who he partnered to fine effect in the 2012 Ryder Cup, where they won three points from their three matches together. Teamed up again at Gleneagles in 2014 and beat Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy in the first day fourballs.

Was inspired to take up the game by his aunt, Pat Bradley, a former LPGA player and World Golf Hall of Fame member. Came through the Nationwide Tour in 2010. Supports the Boston Red Sox in baseball, the Boston Celtics in basketball and the New England Patriots in American football.
