Diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in June 2008 at the age of 30.

After chemotherapy treatment and undergoing several operations to try and keep his right leg the decision was take to amputate above the knee in 2009.

Having first started playing golf at 11, he returned to the sport in 2010 and will make his G4D Tour debut at the Series Finale in Spain in October 2025.
