Earned a third full season on The Race to Dubai as the result of a fifth place finish in the European Challenge Tour Rankings in 2014, thanks in no small part to a third career title on the second tier at the VACON Open in August. Also recorded a further trio of top three finishes en route to ending the campaign with earnings of €129,968 from 20 events played. Has come agonisingly close to retaining his playing privileges on the two previous occasions he has graduated to The European Tour, finishing 114th and 119th in The Race to Dubai in 2013 and 2011 respectively. Joined the professional ranks in January 2003 after a highly successful amateur career in which he represented Chile at junior and senior level, before playing in the Eisenhower Trophy in 2002. A skiing accident slowed down his professional progress in 2003, but from December of that year he won 20 events on his domestic tour as well as the Chile Open in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
