Made a stunning start to his professional career by finishing second in the 2010 Challenge Tour Rankings and securing his first victory en route, at the season ending Apulia San Domenico Grand Final. A fine debut campaign for the talented youngster from Kent yielded five top tens, including the runner-up spot at the dual ranking SAINT-OMER OPEN presented by Neuflize OBC in only his fourth appearance, a week after he came tied fifth in the Scottish Hydro Challenge. The highlights of an illustrious amateur career which included eight wins were his victories at the 2008 Lytham Trophy – where he became the event’s youngest winner – and the 2010 Spanish Open Amateur Championship, where by beating fellow rising star Tommy Fleetwood into second place he rose to fourth in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Like Fleetwood, he was also a member of Great Britain and Ireland’s Walker Cup team in 2009.
