Finished tied fifth in the Chang Thailand Senior Masters presented by ISPS, one of only three appearances on the 2010 Senior Tour schedule. Played in five Senior Tour events in 2009 and finished in the top 20 in all of them, the best being tied tenth at the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open and the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship. Became the eighth person to join the exclusive group of players to pass the €1 million career earnings mark on the Senior Tour in 2008, nine seasons after joining. That honour came courtesy of a tied 11th place finish at the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters - his best finish of the season. A naturally aggressive player, he has won six titles and one Order of Merit on the European Senior Tour. Finished outside the top 50 in 2007, when his highest finish was joint third in the Open de France Senior de Divonne. His last victory came when he won the Nigel Mansell Sunseeker International Classic in 2004. Played some incredible recovery shots over the closing holes, which prompted the tournament host to give him the nickname ‘Houdini’. Capable of bursts of incredible scoring, evidenced by his display at the 2002 De Vere PGA Seniors Championship, where he won by a record ten shots with a 21 under par aggregate of 267. Also set a scoring record during the final round of the US Senior PGA Championship over the famous South Course at Firestone CC in Akron, Ohio, when he posted a front nine score of 27.
