    Turned professional in 1999 after finishing low amateur at the Masters and claimed his maiden Major Championship at Augusta in 2017 after defeating Justin Rose in a play-off to win the Green Jacket.

    Wrote his name into the history books at the 2018 Ryder Cup, when a Sunday Singles victory over Rickie Fowler at Le Golf National took him to a record total of 25.5 points in nine appearances, six of them on victorious European sides.

    He made his tenth Ryder Cup appearance in 2021, forming a formidable partnership with compatriot Jon Rahm. Garcia won three points from four matches, further extending his record to 28.5 points in ten appearances.

    Had a glittering amateur career, becoming the then-youngest player to make a European Tour cut in 1995 aged just 16, and winning the Amateur Championship in 1998.

    Won on his sixth start as a professional at the Irish Open and has enjoyed success around the world with more than 30 victories across Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.

    Was the first Spanish winner of the Players Championship on the PGA TOUR, defeating Paul Goydos in a play-off on the famous par three 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass. Garcia is an 11-time winner on the PGA TOUR.

    Has an enviable record on home soil with seven victories in Spain including three victories at the Andalucía Masters in 2011 and when his charitable foundation hosted the event in 2017 and 2018.

    His first Major victory was the highlight of an impressive 2017 in which he recorded a total of three wins and was named the European Tour Hilton Golfer of the Year.
