Finished 134th in The Race to Dubai in 2013, but put that disappointment behind him to secure an immediate return to The European Tour by claiming the 13th card at the Qualifying School Final Stage. That was the fourth time he had successfully negotiated the School, and he has also twice graduated from the Challenge Tour Rankings, most recently in 2012. Was unlucky to lose his playing privileges in 2011, finishing 124th despite being runner-up in the Austrian Open, where he lost a play-off to Kennie Ferrie. Won the Qualifying School Final Stage in 2010, and in 2008 tied for 19th at The Open Championship having briefly challenged for the lead. Won the Tessali Open del Sud in 2002 and the Dimension Data Pro-Am at Sun City in South Africa in 2005. Comes from a talented sporting family with his uncle Bob Taylor being a former England Test wicketkeeper. Took up golf at the age of 15 and cut his handicap from 26 to 12 in his first season. By 17 he was off scratch. Enjoys flying and hopes one day to gain a pilot’s licence.
