Claimed a maiden European Tour victory in spectacular fashion at the 2019 Portugal Masters, having entered the week at 150th in the Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex and needing a big week to secure his playing rights for the following season. He went over and above, however, as a final round 65 earned him a one-stroke triumph, a first professional victory and a winner's exemption for the 2020 campaign.

Earned a rookie season on the European Tour after finishing inside the top 15 in the 2017 Challenge Tour Rankings. Recorded a runner-up finish during his debut season, losing on the second extra play-off hole against Matt Wallace in Denmark.

Won for the first time as a professional on the satellite Alps Tour in 2013 at the Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or and triumphed again on that tour in 2014 at the Red Sea El Ein Bay Open.

Enjoyed a stellar amateur career and in 2011 helped guide the Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup team to victory over an American team that included Jordan Spieth.
