Following his runner-up finish at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, Rasmus Højgaard will be trying to go one better as he hopes to continue an excellent run of form that includes no worse than a tie for 11th in his last five Tour starts.

Fellow DP World Tour winners Pablo Larrazábal and Yannik Paul, among others, are in action for the fourth consecutive DP World Tour event of the year in the Middle East.

There is also a blend of rising stars with European Challenge Tour winner Alex Fitzpatrick and former amateur World Number One Keita Nakajima in action, while experienced figures of the European game in Thomas Bjørn and Nicolas Colsaerts are also teeing it up at the Royal Golf Club.

If you have not done so already, you can sign up to play the official 2024 DP World Tour Fantasy game and submit your six-man team before round one gets under way on Thursday: https://fantasy.dpworldtour.com/

Fantasy Insight: As it stands, Rasmus Højgaard is the favourite for players of our Fantasy Game this week, featuring in 75% of teams. Other popular players include German Yannik Paul (60%) and Japanese Keita Nakajima (45%).

Alex Fitzpatrick, who has finished in the top 20 in all four of his starts so far this season, is the fourth most picked player.

Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.

Favourite - Rasmus Højgaard

A victory is surely around the corner for the in-form Dane.

Since the start of the year, the four-time DP World Tour winner has recorded no worse than a tie for 11th in his first starts and was runner-up last week.

His fine run of results stretches back to last year, in fact, with three top 20s in his final three events of last season.

Form horse - Alex Fitzpatrick

There can be no doubting the talent the Englishman possesses as he emerges out of his Major-winning brother's shadow.

In his first full season as a member on the DP World Tour, since his maiden professional win on the European Challenge Tour last season, the 25-year-old has finished no worse than a tie for 18th in his first four starts of the campaign.

Beginning the week 25th on the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership, the rising star is taking steps towards breaking into the top 100 on the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time.

Wild card - Stephen Gallacher

The Scot is one of a handful of players with experience of playing at this week's venue, having finished in a tie for fourth at the Volvo Champions in 2011.

While the course has undergone renovation since it last hosted a DP World Tour event, past knowledge of the layout could well prove an immeasurable benefit.

The Middle East has proven a happy hunting ground in the career of the Ryder Cup winner, memorably winning the Dubai Desert Classic back-to-back in 2013 and 2014.
