DP World India Championship tee times: Rory McIlroy part of Ryder Cup trio in New Delhi

Rory McIlroy will have defending champion Tommy Fleetwood and Robert MacIntyre for company when the second edition of the DP World India Championship gets under way on Thursday.

There were emotional scenes 12 months ago at Delhi Golf Club as Fleetwood's son Frankie was able to share a win with dad for the first time, with McIlroy back in a tie for 26th.

MacIntyre, meanwhile, is making his debut in the event and the trio of Ryder Cup team-mates will tee off the tenth at 7.15am local time.

McIlroy is one of four players who could be top of the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World by the end of the week and fellow challenger Eugenio Chacarra goes off ten minutes before the Northern Irishman alongside Justin Rose and Min Woo Lee.

Rankings leader Patrick Reed plays with two reigning Major champions in Aaron Rai and Ryan Fox and they get started on the first at 12pm.

Casey Jarvis is the other man who could lead the way come Sunday and he will tee off the first at 11.50, joined by home hero Anirban Lahiri and recent winner Adrian Meronk.

The DP World Professional Golf Tour of India Order of Merit will be decided on Sunday, with the winner securing a Category 17 DP World Tour card for next season.

Saptak Talwar currently leads the way and he goes off the tenth at 6.45 alongside last week's winner Grant Forrest and Tom McKibbin, ten minutes before Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald, Major winner Shane Lowry and Belgium's Thomas Detry.

Elsehwere, history will be made on Thursday as Subash Tamang becomes the first player from Nepal to tee up in a DP World Tour event and he gets started on the first at 7.55.
