Richard Bland
The 48-year-old is back in action after a well-earned rest following The Open. His form up to that was excellent with the win at the Betfred British Masters, two top-4s and good showings in a couple of majors. His scoring average is 69.69, he’s 8th on Tour in bogey avoidance and his approach play has been really good this year. He should be very comfortable on this style of golf course.
David Law
I picked him last week and there’s no reason to go away from him after a tied-4th finish at the Hero Open. He was consistently excellent at Fairmont St Andrews, with rounds of 67-67-66-68 and only two bogeys all week. We often see players inspired by watching their friends or compatriots win titles, and he’ll be optimistic about securing his second European Tour win sooner rather than later after Grant Forrest won last week.
Chase Hanna
I’m continuing my theme of players who’ve shown form on the Challenge Tour and have impressed on stepping up onto the main tour this year. The American has finished tied-6th in his last three tournaments – the Euram Bank Open on the Challenge Tour and the Cazoo Open and Hero Open on the European Tour. He also has four other top-7s on the Challenge Tour earlier this year.

Bernd Wiesberger
Wiesberger is a favourite of mine, the Austrian is solid performer for fantasy golf. His ball striking is strong with 71% of greens hit this year and ranks 2nd on strokes gained tee to green. With a stroke average of 70, this eight time European tour winner is the top ranked player in the Cazoo Classic field. The world number 66 skipped the Olympics and will be refreshed for a Ryder Cup push.
John Catlin
I watched John closely at the ISPS Handa Invitational and was really impressed with his demeanour and course management.
Not surprisingly he is ranked number 1 in strokes gained tee to green. And when you look at past leaderboards for events held at The London club this is vital. He has had 2 top 5’s and 3 top 10’s in 2021 and will be hoping to add to his three European Tour titles.
Vincent Norrman
The Swede has recorder 4 top 15’s in his first 5 European Tour events as a professional.
The rookies stroke average is 69.42 which leaves him 10th in the standings. Vincent is a birdie machine (4.63 per round). Birdies will be key as the last time the tour visited this venue, Ross Fisher won in 2008 with a score of -20. The newcomer to the tour is certainly one to watch
