Caroline Hedwall fired a brilliant round of 64 to become the first woman to hold the solo lead at a European Tour event on day two of the 2021 Scandinavian Mixed Hosted by Henrik & Annika.
Christine Wolf had matched the men on day one at Vallda Golf and Country Club and local favourite Hedwall carded the lowest round of the week so far in round two to get to 13 under and lead the way by one from Dutchman Joost Luiten.
England's Steven Brown and South Africa's Darren Fichardt were then at 11 under.
History is being made everywhere this week in Gothernburg, with a field evenly split between men and women playing the same course for one trophy and a share of the €1,000,000 prize fund.
Solheim Cup star Hedwall has six Ladies European Tour victories to her name but is now right in the mix to become the first woman to lift a European Tour trophy.
Slovenian Pia Babnik claimed her first win on the LET last week and should the 17-year-old make it back to back victories, she would become not only the European's first female winner but also its youngest ever.
She was at ten under alongside 20-year-old Australian Stephanie Kyriacou, Spaniard Pep Angles and Finn Kalle Samooja.
But the day belonged to Hedwall, who carded two eagles - including a holed bunker shot - to go with five birdies and a single dropped shot.
“I was a bit lucky out there today," she said. "I made two eagles and made a bunker shot - it was very enjoyable!
“If you look at the leaderboard, it looks like they have set it up pretty fair, but it’s hard to judge. I think looking at the mix of the players on the leaderboard, I think they have done a good job because it’s obviously tough.
"It is good being back in Sweden and I’m just going to try and enjoy myself.”

Playing partners Hedwall and Luiten both started the day at five under and it was Luiten who made the first move as he hit the green in two at the par five tenth and put an approach to eight feet at the 12th.
Hedwall hit back with a 14 footer on the 13th and a smart approach to the next before she put her second to 15 feet on the par five 16th and made an eagle.
Luiten got up and down from a bunker on the same hole to make his birdie and holed a 40 footer on the next for another, but another smart approach from Hedwall on the 18th gave her the upper hand in the head to head.
She gave the shot back on the second but holed a long putt on the third and made a birdie on the par five fourth without ever seeing the fairway.
Luiten also took advantage of the par five and then birdied the long sixth, where Hedwall holed her bunker shot for an eagle to get to 13 under and lead by two.
An approach to inside ten feet on the ninth then saw Luiten cut the gap.
Fichardt started with a bogey but eagled the fourth and made four birdies on the back nine in his 67, while Brown also eagled the fourth, adding four birdies and two bogeys in a 68.
Babnik and Kyriacou both carded rounds of 66, with Angles and Samooja each signing for a 69.
German pair Olivia Cowan and Sarina Schmidt, English duo Ashley Chesters and Alice Hewson, Scot David Drysdale and South African Jacques Kruyswijk were then at nine under.
Henrik Stenson carded a 70 to sit at four under, while fellow tournament hose Annika Sorenstam signed for a second consecutive 73.
