Kiradech Aphibarnrat vows to give it his all on Sunday

Kiradech Aphibarnrat has vowed to give everything he has got in the final round of the 2022 Portugal Masters as he battles to retain his DP World Tour card.

With this week's tournament providing the final chance for players to earn points to keep their playing rights for 2023, Aphibarnrat knows a big finish is required at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course on Sunday.

The four-time winner began the week 160th on the DP World Tour Rankings in Partnership with Rolex, some way shy of the magic mark of 117th.

But rounds of 65, 70 and 63 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectively have given him hope of pulling off an escape act.

Aphibarnrat fired nine birdies - including five in a row around the turn - and a single bogey on day three to make a huge move up the leaderboard.

Heading into the final round in a tie for fourth on 15 under par, Aphibarnrat is going to give it his all on Sunday.

He said: "I have nothing to lose.

"Just trying to play my best golf and get a low round. It looked like the putter was working really well.

"I just need to give everything I've got.

"The aim is to try to repeat what I did today.

"Whatever happens tomorrow, just let it happen. If I get the job done I'll be the happiest guy in the world.

"But if not, I think I've spent enough time in this career to accept some failure and some happiness.

"I've been away from the DP World Tour for quite a while and I'm missing this Tour a lot.

"A lot of nice players, good friends over here, and I just can't let it go."
