Rose, Scott and Kim added to world-class BMW PGA Championship field

Major winners Justin Rose and Adam Scott and exciting young star Tom Kim are set to tee it up as part of a stellar BMW PGA Championship field from September 12-17, 2023.

The trio will join defending champion Shane Lowry, World Number Two and Three Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, home heroes Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton and Danny Willett and 2021 winner Billy Horschel, for what promises to be another thrilling Festival of Golf at Wentworth Club.

Weekend general admission tickets for the BMW PGA Championship have sold out for the second consecutive year, with more than 100,000 spectators expected to line the fairways throughout the week at the fourth Rolex Series event of the 2023 Race to Dubai. Fans are encouraged to buy before September 1 to save up to 25 per cent on single tournament day tickets, and up to 55 per cent on Tuesday’s practice day, with remaining ticket options available at etg.golf/bmwpga

Englishman Rose will make his 18th appearance at the BMW PGA Championship, with the 2013 U.S. Open champion seeking a second win of the year, following his victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the PGA TOUR in May.

The 11-time DP World Tour winner, said: “There’s something truly special about playing on home soil, and feeling the support of the crowds around the West Course makes this such a great week. I’ve come close a couple of times in the past and the BMW PGA Championship is a title that I would love to win.”

Scott, who also tasted Major glory in 2013 with his Masters triumph, returns to Wentworth for the third consecutive season, with the popular Australian once again relishing the test around the Surrey venue.

He said: “I’ve enjoyed playing at Wentworth over the years and I’ve been really pleased to be able to add the BMW PGA Championship to my schedule for the past few seasons. It’s always a pleasure to play the Rolex Series events, and particularly with such a great atmosphere around this tournament.”

For 21-year-old Kim it will be a first appearance at the BMW PGA Championship, after impressing on his regular DP World Tour season debut with a third place finish in Scotland last year, followed by a top six at the same event in 2023.

The Seoul native, who has won in the past two PGA TOUR seasons and is competing in the final FedExCup event at East Lake this week, said: “It’s been a great season for me, and I’m looking forward to heading over to Europe following the FedExCup. I’ve enjoyed the events I’ve played on the DP World Tour so far. The BMW PGA Championship has so much history, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to compete at Wentworth next month.”

One of the highlights of the British sporting calendar, the BMW PGA Championship brings together some of the world’s best golfers, globally renowned music acts and celebrity stars in a highly-anticipated Festival of Golf.

Away from the golf course, the unmissable entertainment in the vibrant Spectator Village includes a DJ set from Locksmith, founding member of Rudimental, on Wednesday afternoon, with GRAMMY®-nominated producer Jax Jones and indie rock band The Wombats performing on the Show Stage over the weekend.

The action at Wentworth Club begins with the G4D Tour’s G4D @ BMW PGA Championship event, as spectators get the chance to watch some of the world’s best golfers with a disability competing on the same layout as their DP World Tour counterparts on Tuesday September 12. Tuesday is also the BMW PGA Championship practice day, allowing fans to see some of their favourite golfers in a more relaxed environment.

That is followed by the star-studded Wednesday Celebrity Pro-Am which will bring together global celebrities - including Hollywood A-lister Tom Holland, football superstar Gareth Bale and England cricketers James Anderson and Stuart Broad – with some of golf’s most famous players in a fun-filled curtain raiser to the main event, the BMW PGA Championship, which tees off on Thursday September 14.

General admission tickets are available from Tuesday to Friday, with limited Premium Experience options still available for Saturday in the Green on 18, within the imposing Championship Pavilion on the West Course’s famous closing hole, and The Ballroom, which is located inside Wentworth’s Clubhouse.
