Alex Noren vows to give his all in the final round in Dubai

Alex Noren has vowed to "give my all" in the final round of the 2022 DP World Tour Championship as he bids to win his first title in more than four years.

The Swede has ten DP World Tour victories to his name but his last visit to the winner's circle came at the 2018 Open de France.

He has a good chance to change that in the final round of the 2022 campaign on Sunday, after his third-round 68 left him two shots off the lead with 18 holes to play.

If Noren is to return to winning ways at the season's final Rolex Series event, he will have to see off a number of the world's best players, with leader Jon Rahm and Matt Fitzpatrick the men ahead of him, and Rory McIlroy and Tyrrell Hatton just one shot behind.

Noren said: "My game plan is to hit the shots I know is needed to play with these guys, and that's what I'm trying to do.

"It's definitely where I want to be, and a win would be huge. So I'm going to give my all."

Noren fired five birdies in his first ten holes on Saturday and briefly held a share of the lead before sandwiching his sixth birdie of the day between bogeys on the 13th and 16th.

He added: "I had a good front nine. I thought I played pretty decent on the back. Maybe not as good with the driver as on the front.

"It's a little tricky around the greens or in the rough, a couple of bogeys. But you know you can't afford those around here against these guys. Overall I'm happy."
