A leading group of players from Europe’s back-to-back victorious Ryder Cup teams in Rome and New York take centre stage, led by Ludvig Åberg, Tyrrell Hatton, Shane Lowry, Jon Rahm and Sepp Straka, all of whom played pivotal roles in Europe’s recent Ryder Cup success.

They are joined by fellow Ryder Cup stalwarts Pádraig Harrington, Francesco Molinari and Alex Noren, bringing further experience and Major championship pedigree to the field.

The Højgaard twins, Nicolai and Rasmus, continue to represent the next generation of European talent, both having established themselves on the global stage in recent seasons.

They are joined by their Ryder Cup teammates Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland, Robert MacIntyre and Rory McIlroy, who were also part of Europe’s back-to-back winning teams in Rome and New York.

Adding further strength to the field is Bernd Wiesberger, the 2019 Scottish Open champion, who returned to winning form at the Volvo China Open earlier this season and remains a proven winner on the DP World Tour.

Rory Colville, Genesis Scottish Open Championship Director, said: “The Genesis Scottish Open continues to attract one of the strongest fields in world golf, and we are delighted to welcome so many of Europe’s leading Ryder Cup stars back to The Renaissance Club.”

The Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, counting on both the Race to Dubai Rankings delivered by DP World and the FedExCup, and boasts Genesis, the luxury automotive brand from South Korea, as title partner

Genesis is title partner of two tournaments on the 2026 Race to Dubai, with the Genesis Championship in Korea rounding out the Back 9 in October, as well as two tournaments on the PGA TOUR’s 2026 schedule. The Genesis Scottish Open follows The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club, which ended with an impressive breakout win for American Jacob Bridgeman.

The event also benefits from the continued commitment of the Scottish Government and VisitScotland through to 2028, with the Renaissance Club remaining as host venue until 2030.

The fan experience at the Genesis Scottish Open includes the Fringe by the Tee pop-up stage, in conjunction with the Fringe by the Sea festival, with The Feeling and Toploader already confirmed as the Friday and Saturday headline acts, and more to be announced soon.
