World Number One Scottie Scheffler and World Number Two Rory McIlroy headline a world-class field for the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open, with six of the world's top ten players set to tee it up at The Renaissance Club from July 9-12, 2026. Tickets are on sale now at etg.golf/GSO26Tickets.
The world's top two players are joined by fellow members of the Official World Golf Ranking top ten Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Jon Rahm and recently crowned U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark.
A further nine members of the top 20 are confirmed for Scotland’s national open, including defending champion and World Number 13 Chris Gotterup, fellow former winners Xander Schauffele, Aaron Rai and home hero Robert MacIntyre, Major champions Justin Thomas and J.J. Spaun, European Ryder Cup stars Ludvig Åberg and Tyrrell Hatton, alongside two-time PGA TOUR winner Ben Griffin.
Five-time Major champion Brooks Koepka returns to the Genesis Scottish Open for the first time in 11 years, with further Major winners in the field including Shane Lowry, Adam Scott, Gary Woodland, Francesco Molinari, Pádraig Harrington and Brian Harman.
Current Race to Dubai leader Patrick Reed will also tee it up in East Lothian as he chases a second Rolex Series victory of the season. He is joined by fellow Rolex Series winners Billy Horschel, Min Woo Lee - who claimed the title at The Renaissance Club in 2021 - and Alex Noren, a former Scottish Open champion who triumphed at a Castle Stuart in 2016, as well as Nicolai Højgaard. Also in the field are Abu Dhabi Championship winners Paul Waring and Victor Perez.
Viktor Hovland, the first player from Norway to win on both the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, is joined by fellow countryman and rising star Kristoffer Reitan, who achieved the same feat with two DP World Tour victories in 2025 and his maiden PGA TOUR win earlier this season.
Marco Penge, who won the 2025 Seve Ballesteros award after being named Player of the Year by his peers on the DP World Tour, returns following his runner-up finish, joined by 2026 Genesis Invitational winner Jacob Bridgeman.
Leading South Korean players Si Woo Kim, Sunjae Im, and Tom Kim will join further winners in the field, including Sepp Straka, Tony Finau, Rasmus Højgaard, Alex Fitzpatrick, Patrick Cantlay, Corey Connors, Harris English, Michael Kim, and Jake Knapp.
Home-grown stars set to compete at the Renaissance Club include Ewen Ferguson, Grant Forrest, Calum Hill and Connor Syme.
The Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, counting on both the Race to Dubai Rankings delivered by DP World and the FedExCup, and boasts Genesis, the luxury automotive brand from South Korea, as title partner.
Genesis is title partner of two tournaments on the 2026 Race to Dubai, with the Genesis Championship in Korea rounding out the Back 9 in October, as well as two tournaments on the PGA TOUR’s 2026 schedule. The Genesis Scottish Open follows The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club, which ended with an impressive breakout win for American Jacob Bridgeman.
The event also benefits from the continued commitment of the Scottish Government and VisitScotland through to 2028, with the Renaissance Club remaining as host venue until 2030.
The fan experience at the Genesis Scottish Open includes the Fringe by the Tee pop-up stage, in conjunction with the Fringe by the Sea festival, with The Feeling and Toploader already confirmed as the Friday and Saturday headline acts, and more to be announced soon.
