Later that season, secured his first Rolex Series title on home soil at the 2018 Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player - his eighth win on the European Tour.

Won his first European Tour title in over two years when a closing ten under par round of 62 earned him the South African Open hosted by the City of Johannesburg crown in January 2020.

Played on the Challenge Tour in 2008, 2010 and 2011 before enjoying a dream season in 2012, when he won four times on the European Tour having earned his card at Qualifying School.

Finished in a career-high third place in the 2015 Race to Dubai, the same year in which he became the first International player in Presidents Cup history to win all five matches.

Also has two victories on the PGA TOUR and four Major Championship top five finishes to his name.

Came through the Ernie Els and Fancourt Foundation and went on to win the 2006 South African Amateur Stroke Play, turning professional the following year.
